Fiat has announced an expanded 2027 Topolino range for the United States, including an Open Air version with a retractable soft-top roof. Its October 30 release also lists Corallo Orange and Luna Greige colours and a full-colour digital instrument cluster.
The announcement accompanied a separate one-off Topolino created with yacht maker Sanlorenzo, unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. That show vehicle and the US range updates should not be treated as the same offer.
A design exhibit is not a specification sheet
Fiat describes the Sanlorenzo vehicle as a bespoke creation with yacht-inspired interior materials and finishes. The release does not say those finishes are standard equipment on the Open Air version.
For a prospective buyer, the useful distinction is between features explicitly assigned to the market range and features described only on the show car. An appealing photograph of a one-off should not become an assumption about what arrives with a retail order.
Demand claims need their denominator
Fiat says many US dealers have sold their initial 2026 allocations. The release does not quantify the total number of vehicles behind that statement.
Selling an initial allocation describes demand relative to the stock supplied. Without the allocation size and a defined reporting period, it cannot be converted into a national sales total or market share. Readers should keep the company’s claim in that narrower context.
Questions to resolve before ordering
Request the US specification for the exact model year and version, a complete quotation and an estimated delivery date. Also confirm the vehicle classification and permitted use with the appropriate local authority; an international product announcement does not establish permission to use every road.
Do not transfer European specifications or usage assumptions to a US vehicle without confirmation. The announcement itself describes these additions as market-specific.
